Welcome
- Is Heaven Your Home? – A Weekly Update – January 19, 2021
Hello, church! I hope this weekly update finds you encouraged in the Lord Jesus Christ!
How do we stay encouraged in the Lord? Part of that comes through the community of God’s people, meeting together to pray, sing, study God’s Word, and fellowship together.
Yet we must also cultivate a personal time with God. My reading from the Old Testament today ended with Jacob on his deathbed. In Genesis 47:29-30 Jacob told Joseph not to bury his body in Egypt, but to take his body back to Canaan to be buried with Abraham and Isaac.
At this point, Jacob and his family had lived in Egypt for 17 years. They had prospered. But the Promised Land was in Canaan.
In a similar way, we live in this world, and may even grow prosperous and be successful. But our home is not here, but heaven.
Does your heart truly belong to the Promised Land? Is Heaven your home?
God bless you as you live for Jesus this week in a world that is not your home, sharing the Good News with others by word and deed that Jesus is King!

In times like these…
God loves you!
Our world has been rocked by the coronavirus pandemic. As a result of the restrictions and concerns about spreading this sickness, our church is seeking to learn new ways to serve you.
Please know that in this time of uncertainty, fear, and even despair, God is still in control. He has not been surprised by the coronavirus. God loves you. He understands your anxiety and pain. God is faithful. He will walk with you through this time of difficulty if you will seek Him.
